1) How to tell if a partner or potential partner is an I2 member:
- use the "traceroute" program on a UNIX host eg: traceroute dast.nlanr.net • If you see the words abilene or gigapop, you're using I2
- If you see the words ALTER.NET or verio, you're using commercial
circuits which are two orders of magnitude smaller...
(we'll be adding a web based traceroute gateway, but don't have that yet...)

3) What online resources are available to faculty and researchers for help with applications, and finding partners?
- dast.nlanr.net is a great resource for faculty (Distributed Applications Support Team at the National Laboratory for Applied Network Research).
- Database of collaborative projects on I2. Faculty looking for partners can list their projects, and can surf the projects looking for efforts to join: http://dast.nlanr.net/Clearinghouse/Query.htm
- Sources of funding for network related projects: http://dast.nlanr.net/Funding.html

4) FORUM: Join the i-forum, a
Portland forum for Internet policy and development.
Keep up to date
with e-mail notification of future sessions. We will also solicit
participants and topics, and provide for limited distribution of
information relevant to the discussions.
